Abstract
|
|
|
The etiology, symptomatology, diagnosis and treatment were reviewed for chronic diarrhea in children especially improper feeding, irritable colon syndrome, amebic dysentery, shigellosis and protein-calorie malnutrition.
Diagnostic approach to chronic diarrhea were emphasized about genetic origins such as lactase deficiency, enterokinase deficiency, cystic fibrosis, gluten-induced enteropathy, abetalipoproteinemia, and protein losing enteropathy which are considered rare in Korea.
